Easter is the most important time for Christians because it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. We pray to Jesus at this special time. Lord Jesus, we give thanks for your life, death, and resurrection. We thank you for your love and for giving us the chance to have eternal life. We pray that you will help us to remember your sacrifice and to follow you with our hearts always. Amen.
Dear Friends,
It has been wonderful, as a Catholic School community to acknowledge and share together the Holy Week prayer celebrations last Thursday in our Parish church. Thank you to our Year 5 classes and their teachers for a reflective and prayerful account of Jesus's journey from the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane to his arrest and crucifixion on Good Friday.
We then concluded on Tuesday with the celebration of Easter, hosted by Year 3 Green ; a time filled with hope and new beginnings.
Thank you again to the generosity of all in our community who purchased tickets in our Easter Raffle, raising much needed funds for Project Compassion. Thank you especially to our Year 3 and 4 families who donated many Easter goodies, enabling a huge amount of families to win an Easter Hamper on Tuesday!
Last week, our Primary Years Program Coordinators, Prue Sheargold and Tom O'Rourke, presented an information session focussing on our new learning platform, Toddle, to help share and enable parents to engage in their child's learning successfully. Please access the link here for the slides shared in this presentation. As we are now committed to sharing learning frequently with our families across all grades from the ELC to Year 6 throughout the term, we will no longer be publishing the Inspiring Connections Edition next week. I encourage you to take time to investigate the posts shared about your child's learning, their Term 1 learning goals set, and the work displayed in the portfolio section of Toddle. Thank you to Prue and Tom, who gave a generous amount of time preparing for and presenting to our families last week.
Next Monday morning at 10am we are very excited to celebrate or new building opening with many official guests and our Year 3 and 5 students, representing our school. Included in this ceremony will be Fr John, Ross Fox, Alicia Payne MP, building and finance staff from Catholic Education, members of the Building Grant Authority, our architects from Collins Pennington and and builders from Pier Projects. We will share some photos of this special occasion in our final newsletter for the term next week.
Congratulations to the De Vries family (Reinder KW) on the recent birth of their third child, Ruby. We also congratulate Ms Waslin who has announced her pregnancy, due in August! Some beautiful news to share with Year 2 Red!
Have a wonderful weekend and a peace-filled week ahead with your beautiful families.

School Holiday Program
The Early Learning Centre currently has a small number of casual places available for current ELC students to join us during the upcoming school holidays. Over the two weeks, we will be taking a deep dive into the much loved book Imagine by Alison Lester. Each day we will explore one section of the book and venture to that part of the world... if only in our imagination and play!
Please contact the ELC to check availability and book your child in!
Stay and Play
Playgroup for pre-preschoolers and their families. Wednesday mornings from 9am-10.00am in the ELC Playground. Parents, grandparents, carers and children are all very welcome.
