The Great Book Swap
This week our ELC proudly hosted the Great Book Swap in support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). Children from ELC through to Year 6 were invited into the ELC to select a “new” book to take home and enjoy. We were also delighted to welcome our neighbours from Pinocchio ELC, who joined us for the event. It was a joy to see children browsing, swapping and discovering stories together.
The Great Book Swap is a meaningful initiative, raising both awareness and funds for the ILF. The Foundation works to support Indigenous authors and illustrators, and to improve access to books and learning opportunities for First Nations children and families in remote communities. By taking part, our children contributed to a cause that celebrates the power of stories while helping ensure all children can experience the joy of reading.
If children forgot to bring a coin on the day, or if families would like to make a further contribution to this worthy cause, please click the link below to donate directly to the ILF.
We thank our families, staff and community for their generous support of this event. Together we shared the gift of books, built connections and contributed to a brighter educational future for First Nations children.

Calling all lids!
Our collection of milk (and other bottle) lids, as well as yoghurt pouch lids, is all but gone. We are calling on our Holy Trinity community to collect lids and drop them into the ELC. These are a valuable resource that we use for creating and learning with!
