What's Happening in Week 8

Our celebration for Dads went off without a hitch last Friday. The weather was perfect, the donuts delcious and the afternoon coffee ensured everyone entered the weekend with energy and enthusiasm! We hope all the significant men in our lives felt loved and appreciated on Sunday.

As the sunshine returns, we’d like to remind families that all students need to wear a hat during break times and PE lessons. This helps us keep everyone SunSmart and safe while enjoying time outdoors. Without a hat, your child may miss out on play and sports, as they will be asked to remain in shaded areas. Please take a moment to check that your child’s hat is clearly labelled with their name so it can easily find its way back if misplaced. A new bucket hand can be ordered on QKR for $15 and delivered to classrooms if your child can not find their hat.

Canteen Closed 17/18 September

Unfortunately the canteen will not be open for orders on Septemeber 17 & 18. Please check you have not put in orders on these dates as they will not be supplied. Merchants Feast apologise for the inconvenience.

Learning Journeys

There has been such a lovely buzz around the school this week as families have come in to share their child’s Learning Journey. The joy on the children’s faces as they proudly talked about their learning, showed the growth in their books, and celebrated their achievements was contagious. Thank you for taking the time to be here, to listen, and to share in your child’s excitement and love of learning. We look forward to celebrating moments of learning and success together across term 4.

Todd Woodbridge Cup – Gala Day

On Wednesday, a group of our students had the opportunity to take part in the Todd Woodbridge Cup. Despite the less than ideal weather, everyone enjoyed the day and had the chance to play plenty of tennis.

A special thank you goes to Tennis ACT for allowing us to attend the Northside Gala Day, as we were unable to participate in the Southside event due to Eucharist retreat day commitments. Our students represented the school with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, and two of our teams contested the final! We look forward to hopefully sending them on to the ACT Final in the near future.

We’d also like to thank Miss Coker and Mr Cashion for supervising and supporting our students on the day.
