Loving God,
In the midst of the struggles and vulnerabilities we experience this Lent,
may we turn to God for guidance and strength.
Grant us the grace to recognise the signs fo your compassion and mercy in our lives.
Open our hearts to receive the support and encouragement of those God places on our path.
We ask this through Christ our Lord , Amen.
Dear Friends,
Last weekend our school staff were commissioned with the blessing of Fr John to our Parish family at 9:30am Mass. During the homily, Fr John encouraged us this Lent to see beyond our limited horizons and appreciate the difference between what we want and what we need. He also made reference to Pope Francis' 2024 Lenten Message, encouraging us to use some time in Lent to pause, reflect and take hope:
"To the extent that this Lent becomes a time of conversion, an anxious humanity will notice a burst of creativity, a flash of new hope. Calling on the faithful to “be ready to take risks, I invite you to find the courage to see our world, not as in its death throes, but in a process of giving birth; not at the end, but at the beginning of a great new chapter of history. Faith and charity, take hope, this small child, by the hand. They teach her to walk, and at the same time, she leads them forward.”
It was wonderful to share with many parents about the learning that happens at school to develop students' literacy skills, particularly in Kindergarten. Thank you to those parents who were able to attend- for those who were unable please see link below to the slide presentation. All kinder families will receive the handbook from this presentation in your child's home reading folder next week.
Thank you again for your participation in our Parent/Carer Partnership meetings over the last week. We will now be sharing via Toddle our Unit Overviews and all student goals for Term 1. Project Compassion
The theme of Project Compassion 2024 is ‘For All Future Generations’ and reminds us that the good we do today impacts the lives of generations to come. It invites us to make the world a better place by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues. We encourage you to put your compassion into action this Lent through prayer, fasting and almsgiving in support of Project Compassion. Each family can send coins in to put in the class Project Compassion box, receive a Project Compassion box and/or a set of envelopes for donations at mass or you can donate online via the Caritas Australia website at: www.caritas.org.au/project-compassion

Welcome to Week 5!
We look forward to seeing some of our younger siblings at the ELC Stay N Play beginning Wednesday between 9:00-10:00am. Don’t forget to bring your child’s hat and water bottle as we will be outside in the beautiful nature playground.
I wonder what makes each of us unique and special? In the Black Cockatoo’s class, they have explored their individual characteristics by drawing a self-portrait and then following this up with a tactile yummy experience of creating an editable face for afternoon tea.

Holy Trinity Swimming Carnival Parent Helpers
As our swimming carnival, scheduled for Week 7 on Friday, March 15th, approaches swiftly, I am reaching out to inquire if any parents would be available to assist during the event. Specifically, we are seeking the support of 10 parents to serve as lane-timers. While CISAC does provide timing pads, it is helpful to have backup timers in place in the event of system malfunctions. Assistance in this capacity will be required between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, aligning with the conclusion of our swimming program before students transition to the novelty areas.
If you are able to fulfil this important role, please contact me via email, and I will gladly provide further details.
Thank you in advance
