Dear Families,
We hope you have enjoyed your experiences engaging with Toddle through Term 1. As part of our commitment to sharing learning we’ve enhanced connection and engagement for families by integrating student learning into the portfolio. Toddle is a platform that supports the documentation of our written curriculum whilst providing a window into your child's educational journey. Within your child's portfolio you can now see their Unit of Inquiry Overviews and individual goals for Term 1. We encourage you to explore these posts with your child, fostering a dialogue by asking questions and actively participating in the discussion of their classroom experiences. Mark your calendar for March 26 at 5:30pm, as we will be hosting an information session for parents, we will delve into what it means to be an IB PYP World School and provide deeper insights into Toddle as a dynamic platform for sharing learning.
Last Friday 4 Green presented their learning at assembly. They shared their knowledge about the responsibility we all have to lead a healthy life, and the connection between good health and wellbeing. Their singing of 'I want to be healthy' and creative movement to the Olympics anthem certainly got us excited about the upcoming 2024 Olympics. It was wonderful to see the pleasure and enthusiasm on the students faces as they sang My God! Thank you 4 Green for this entertaining highlight reel of your learning in term 1.
Community Council Changes at Holy Trinity
Welcome to Week 6! There are a few things happening with our governance arrangements at Holy Trinity that I will share with you now.
Last year, the Catholic Education Office conducted a review of all school boards and structures. That review has been finalised and a new school Community Council model is being rolled out this year. We are currently transitioning to this new model here at Holy Trinity.
We have a very active parent and family community here, and this new Community Council model won't change that. Our school Community Council will have a supporting and collaborative role between the school and families with the valuable role families play in our school continuing. The Council provides that connection between the school community and our school leaders and staff. It has an advisory role and is an important forum for consultation.
Our current School Board members are now the Community Council Executive, and our current P&F members now make up the Council Working Groups. Courtney Cooke, our P&F President, will be the President of the Council Working Groups as well as an Executive member (Parent Representative) of the Council. The Community Council Working Groups are what we have previously known as P&F sub committees, and will continue to operate as they have always done under the P&F structure, but will now fall under the Community Council structure as Working Groups.
So as you can see, besides some name changes, not much has changed for us! We already have a really great working governance structure that hasn't required much more than slight tweaking. You will soon be receiving further information from Philippa Brearley about the Community Council. In the meantime though, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on 0413 319 899 or HTCommunityCouncilChair@gmail.com.
I really look forward to seeing you in and around our beautiful school. Take care.

Reconciliation Presentation Mass
Last weekend during the Masses at Holy Trinity Church (Saturday 6pm & Sunday 9.30am), our 2024 Reconciliation candidates were presented to the Parish community. This is a special occasion where our Parish community joined together with our Reconciliation candidates and their families, in prayer and support as they engage in their final preparations for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I ask that you keep our Reconciliation candidates in your prayers during this time.
Year 3 and Year 4: Easter Raffle Donations
It is that time of the year again when we are preparing for our annual Easter Raffle! The proceeds raised from the Easter Raffle ticket sales will go towards our fundraising efforts for Project Compassion. We are asking Year 3 and Year 4 families if they could kindly donate something Easter for the raffle prizes. Easter themed items could include:
- Easter chocolates such as eggs and bunnies
- Bag of Easter lollies
- Easter colouring in books
- Easter art and craft sets
- Easter stickers
- Easter toys
Please send any donations into school with your child no later than Friday, 22nd March. Your child will be able to place their Easter donation into their class donation basket.
Thank you in advance for your donations and generosity.
Harmony Day
On Friday 22nd March Holy Trinity will celebrate Harmony Day. Students are welcome to come dressed in their traditional dress or wear the colour orange. Year 2 will be presenting a Prayer Celebration at 2:30pm in the Holy Trinity Church. All are welcome.

Hello and goodbye!
Thank you to everyone who made my time at Holy Trinity ELC such a wonderful experience. This is a beautiful school, and I am going to miss it heaps. We welcome Damien Montesin as the new Director and wish him all the best.
Three families joined us this morning for our Stay n Play. Addison and her mother Rachel dropped by quickly for a play on the slide, while James and Ester stayed for the duration with their mothers Anna and Bernadette. Not only did Ester make the most delicious banana muffins for me, but James also showed me how brave he was climbing up and down the rope ladders before joining Ester in the sandpit.
On Thursday the 29th of February, Holy Trinity Year 5/6 students participated in the ACT Netball Gala Day for the South/Weston Region. With the guidance of Ms Winter and Mr Cashion students battled it out on the Deakin netball courts against other local schools. In what was a very hot day, students enjoyed their competitive battles and came away with a greater knowledge of the game. We had 30 students and 3 teams represent our school.
