Let us give thanks, O Lord, for all the blessings we have. May we always seek your truth and wisdom in all our endeavours.
We pray for everyone who has contributed to the financing, designing, and building of our new learning spaces, especially Catholic Education, ACT Block Grant Authority,CollinsPenningtonnn and Pier Projects. Inspire and guide them as they continue to serve their communities
We pray for ArchbishopChristopherProwseee, Fr John and our parish community. May they continue to grow in the love and peace of Christ, building a community of support and friendship with each other and in Christ.
We pray for those less fortunate than we are. Teach us to see with your eyes their tremendous dignity and to care for them as you care. May they experience your compassion, concern, and love.
We give thanks for the dedication, support, and trust of our past and present families. May our school community continue to be blessed with such generous and supportive people.
We pray for all the staff of Holy Trinity, bless, guide and care for them as they strive to meet the educational and spiritual needs of all our students.
Lord God of all, we ask your abundant blessings upon this school and its new learning spaces. We ask that you guide and protect those who delivered this new building, and those who work and learn here. May Holy Trinity remain a place where we live out Jesus’ message of Faith, Hope and Love. We make this prayer through your son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, our helper and guide.
Dear Friends,
The prayers of intercession above were shared at our new building opening and blessing on Monday morning. It was a very special event, shared with many guests- our builders, architects, personnel from Catholic Education, our Director Ross Fox,PatrickMcArdleee, Vicar for Education andAliciaPayneee MP, representing the Australian Government. The Australian Capital Grant Program gave our school, along with Catholic Education, two generous contributions towards our project, allocated through the ACT Block Grant Authority. It was also wonderful to have our parent community represented by members of our School Board Cath Day, MichelleCains and StephenCarberry.
Our new building includes 5 new classrooms, with flexible learning spaces, glass sliding doors and a breakout area with a wet area for art lessons. Access to the bottom classroom is via internal stairs and a wheelchair ramp. Our School counsellor makes use of the purpose-built office downstairs, enabling a private and warm space for children and families to visit. The glass area around this access enables natural light to shine throughout the building and expose the natural environment that surrounds the school buildings. Since inhabiting this new space from Term 2 last year, we have seen the well-being impact of the changes to this learning environment on our students and staff through improved lighting, ventilation and heating. This area of the school which previously was dark and gloomy, is now vibrant and inviting. The students are proud of this learning space and were incredibly excited and grateful to inhabit the area after two and a half years in portables, (due to a hold up in construction duringCOVID). It was wonderful to have our Year 3, 5, and 6 students representing our school at this blessing and opening, as they are the centre of all our joy, the reason I have incredibly high expectations, the reason why I consistently strive for excellence, and most importantly, the reason why Holy Trinity exists.
Congratutions to two of our families who have recently welcomed a beautiful new addition to their world! Spencer P's (2R) dad and partner Emily welcomed Melia and the Stakelum family Vivienne (1R) and Pierce (3G) welcomed Hermione, also known as Minnie.

Next Term , Friday Week 2, 10th of May, we will be celebrating our beautiful Mothers and Mother figures in all our lives. We will be celebrating together a prayer celebration at 2:30pm, followed by an afternoon tea in our Kinder courtyard area. Just a reminder that families are asked to please donate a gift that we can share for our students to choose and give to our Mums. (Please note that gifts need to be wrapped in something see through, ideally clear wrapping). Perhaps the holidays coming up might give our Dads and families an opportunity to go shopping! Thank you to our Community Council for hosting this event for our HT community in Week 2 next term.

School Holiday Program
The Early Learning Centre currently has a small number of casual places available for current ELC students to join us during the upcoming school holidays. Over the two weeks, we will be taking a deep dive into the much loved book Imagine by Alison Lester. Each day we will explore one section of the book and venture to that part of the world... if only in our imagination and play!
Please contact the ELC to check availability and book your child in!
Stay and Play
Playgroup for pre-preschoolers and their families. Wednesday mornings from 9am-10.00am in the ELC Playground. Parents, grandparents, carers and children are all very welcome.

3/4 Boys Futsal
Last Thursday the 4th of April, some of our Year 3 boys played in the ACT Futsal Comp. They were undefeated in their pool (even though they had to play last year’s champions) and made it to the quarter final. The quarter final was very close, finishing 0-0 at full time. It went to a penalty shootout where we went down 4-5. A massive effort to get to that stage, and we congratulate the boys on their fantastic effort! Congratulations to Tak Aiken, Isaac Talbot, George Loader, Xavi Noja, Sam Bullock, Alexander Markovic, and Ben van de Meeberg for representing the school at the competition!
South Weston Swimming Carnival
Last Friday, the 5th of April saw 31 Holy Trinity students represent our school at the South Weston Swimming Carnival. With over 500 students swimming from 25 schools in 152 races, many Holy Trinity students did themselves proud. Againts 25 other schools, Holy Trinity placed 4th, finishing the best Catholic/Public school in the South Weston area.
Holy Trinity will have some students who made it to the ACT Championships on the 7th of May. These details will be released to schools in the school holidays and passed on to parents and students at the beginning of Term Two.
