Sacrament of Reconciliation

We continue to pray for our students who are preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These students will be making their First Reconciliation next Tuesday, 7 May at 6pm. Thank you to Fr John and our Year 3 Teachers for preparing our students.

Sacrament of Confirmation 

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Tuesday 18th and Thursday 20th of June. Enrolments are now open (via Parish of Transfiguration QKR!) for students who are in Year 6 students and who have received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. 

Please see the letter from Fr John regarding the Sacrament of Confirmation. 

The Parent Information Night (PIN) will be on Tuesday 14th May at 6pm via MSTeams - 5:30pm for group leaders.

School Holiday Program

Our ELC children thoroughly enjoyed the recent school holiday program. From baking, bike rides and bushwalks, to exploration, encounters and enjoyment - the children had the opportunity to experience it all!

 

 

 

Mother's Day

The Community Council are organising a Mother's Day gift stall, prayer celebration and afternoon tea.

ELC children are encouraged to bring a small gift wrapped in clear plastic or cellophane to contribute to the stall - please bring these in by Wednesday 8 May to your classroom. 

Each student will be able to purchase a gift on the day, and we are asking for a gold coin donation in exchange of a gift if you can.

CALLING ALL DADS!! 

The Community Council are in need of volunteers to assist in the running of the Mother's Day gift stall from 9 - 11am and the organisation and set up/ clean up of the afternoon tea on Friday May 10. Please email Simon if you are able to assist simon.bugden@defence.gov.au

Swimming

In week 10 of Term One we had 31 students represent Holy Trinity at the South Weston Swimming Carnival. Overall, as a school, we finished 4^th out of 25 schools, with five of our students making it to the ACT Primary Swimming Championships to be held on the 7^th of May. Congratulations to Penelope Haselden, Rose Haselden, Jahla Negus, Justine Tran and Emma Ricketts on their qualification for this event. We wish them the very best!

Cross Country

On the last day of Term, we hosted our cross-country carnival. It was a sunny morning that greeted all students. Qualifiers for the South Weston Cross Country Carnival in June will be notified in the coming weeks. It was terrific to see many parents on the day creating a vibrant atmosphere. A great way to end the term!

Athletics

On Wednesday the 15^th of May (Week Three) we will be hosting our Athletics Carnival at Woden Park. Im putting out this expression of interest if anyone would like to assist on the day. This could be measuring and raking in the long jump, measuring the shot put, or placing students into correct order once they finish their running heats. I require around 10 parent volunteers. If you are avilable to help on the day, please send an email to Ben.Davis@cg.catholic.edu.au  Volunteers will be required from 9:45am – 2:00pm and lunch will be provided.
