Dear families and carers,
This week we welcomed our teaching and learning coach, Sharyn Angel, from Queensland to share her insights around teaching and learning at Holy Trinity. As life long learners our staff are continually growing in knowledge and understanding of how students learn, and how we can support our learners to achieve their potential. Sharyn has been working with Holy Trinity over the past few years and we continue to embrace her knowledge and guidance for our school. It was wonderful to welcome Mrs Brearley back for the day, the students were very excited to see her in their classrooms and share their stories of the past 2 terms.
Father's Day Breakfast
Last Friday we held our Fathers Day breakfast, these events do not happen without the wonderful support of our Community Council. A huge thank you to the organisers, Michelle & Steph, and the many volunteers at breakfast and for our Father's Day Stall. It was beautiful to watch the students select a present that they believed their Dad would love! We hope all our dads had a wonderful celebration of love and appreciation.

Last weekend Mr Roweth and Mr O'Rourke were invited to the 2024 Tennis ACT Awards Presentation. Holy Trinity were awarded the Most Outstanding School, this is only possible with the dedication and enthusiasm of our teaching team, a well deserved award for our school!

The Great Book Swap
The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, learn more about Indigenous Languages and culture, while raising funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. This event provides an opportunity to discuss with your children the literacy (and education gap) that exists for first nation Australians and why programs such as the Indigenous Literacy Foundation are essential. |
Mountain of Mulch
As many would have seen, the ELC has a mountain of mulch that needs to be moved into our playground... and we need a hand.
Contact Damien Montesin if you have 30 minutes to gift to our mulch project.
** Thank you to the Dempsey family for their committed effort
over the weekend to move our new sand into the sandpit. **
ELC Facebook
Holy Trinity ELC now has a Facebook page, which we encourage you to follow. We will post updates, reminders and share some of the wonderful learning experiences that our children get up to.

Last Friday we concluded our Book Celebrations for 2024 with our very first ‘HT Magic Show’. It was fabulous fun and after our live sessions with THE Magic Mike lots of kids were eager to show off their magic skills. Some of our up-and-coming magicians even watched Mike’s YouTube channel and copied his tricks. All in all, we had 15 registered magicians plus judges, security, a running order, music, props set up and entertainment between acts.
The magicians were spectacular and kept us all entertained for a good hour. The cards tricks were impressive, the magic wands and hats kept us all guessing, the teleporting cups, the disappearing coins, the pokers faces, and mystery guests all added to a wonderful experience.
Thank you to our brave magicians from Kinder to Year 6, Mrs McDevitt for assisting and our security guards for keeping the crowds in line.
Last but not least, it was also really lovely to see the volunteers just nod and smile if a trick didn’t actually work – God Bless thoughtful kids.
That’s a wrap – Book Week 2024 is done, Amen.
