Dear families and carers,
Welcome back to term 4, it has been a pleasure to see all our students return eager to share stories about their break and ready to settle into our final term of learning for 2024. This term we welcome 2 new families to our community, the Kent family in 4 Green and the Roxburgh family in Kinder Green, we know they will love being a part of our community.
This term will fly by with so many exciting events to look forward to, please check below in the Term 4 key dates to ensure you have saved the date to join us for the celebrations ahead.
It has been lovely to welcome back Ms Shaw from her maternity leave, she has joined us in our classroom support team for this term and we welcome back Liam Cashion from his term 3 European adventure.
Swimming Program - Weeks 6 and 7
Today a hard copy Student Enrolment Form will be coming home with your child. This must be completed and returned to your child's classroom teacher ASAP. This is a requirement from Stromlo Leisure Centre, where our swimming lessons will be conducted. Thank you for doing this quickly, so that our swimming lesson admin can be organised.
Archdiocesan Assembly
This weekend the leadership team and members of the parish will be participating in the Archdiocesan assembly where the themes of Encounter, Discipleship and Mission will be explored through conversations of the Spirit. We are looking forward to the discussions and opportunities to collaborate as a Catholic community.
Fete
This week we have begun the preparations for the our Fete in March 2025. This evening the Community Council is holding the first Fete meeting. We would love to have as many people join us in the planning and preparation of this event. Communities
Our next Unit of Inquiry will focus on the concept of communities and the ways that communities help and support each other. An integral aspect of this inquiry will be to invite community members (parents, grandparents and friends) into our ELC to share with the children about how they are connected to the community - either through their work, volunteering or community group. We warmly invite you to make contact with us to chat about the possibilities of you or someone you know sharing some time and insight with us this term.
Materials to foster curiosity and creativity
We are keen to increase our supply of loose parts items, for use in our inside and outside environments. Perhaps you have something at home or from your workplace that is not needed anymore... but, could be of great use to us? Something that we are particularly interested in is scrap paper (of all shapes, sizes, colours). Here are some ideas:
ELC Facebook
Holy Trinity ELC now has a Facebook page, which we encourage you to follow. We will post updates, reminders and share some of the wonderful learning experiences that our children get up to.
