Holy Trinity Fete Countdown
Our Fete is nine days away! We need your help to make it a success. Each Year Group has a stall, but any donations are welcome. You can drop them off at the Front Office or give them to your child's teacher. Thank you so muc!
The Fete is on Saturday 22 March 2025 and runs from 10am to 2pm.
We can't wait to see you there!
What we please need:
- Books for all ages
- Plants all shapes and sizes
- Baked cakes and biscuits
- Tombola jars filed with small treats, toys or fidgets
- Gift vouchers (suggested $100) or items or business donations for hampers for the Chocolate Wheel
- Sausages, bread and onions
- Marquees for use on the day
- Decorations for the Haunted House stall
How you can help
- Donate Items – please bring donations to the Front Office or to the stall before or on the day. We are happy to collect donations now, however understand that cooked treats are best dropped off the day before or on the day! Plants can be dropped off in the Kindergarten / Year 1 courtyard near the shed outside the staffroom door.
- Volunteers – we need volunteers to help set up, assist with the stalls and clean up after the Fete. If you are able to lend a hand, contact your Year Group stall coordinator or click here to sign up.
- Purchase Raffle Tickets
- Bake for our cake stall! A reminder to please list the ingredients. There are stickers available for labelling at the front office. It is really important to list ingredients for allergies and to please avoid nuts.
Here is another great recipe idea!
Jam Drops
Ingredients
80 grams 80g butter, softened
1/3 cup (75g) raw caster sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup (110g) self-raising flour
1/4 cup (45g) rice flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
icing sugar, to serve
Quick plum jam
500 grams plums, seeds removed, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup (55g) raw caster sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
Method
1.Make quick plum jam: Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan with ¼ cup (60ml) water; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until a spoonful of the jam wrinkles when pushed with a finger on a chilled plate. Cool.
2.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced) Line three oven trays with baking paper.
3.Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer until pale; add egg, beat until just combined. Stir in sifted flours and cinnamon. Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes.
4.Roll 1 1/2 teaspoons of the chilled dough into a ball; place on tray. Repeat with remaining dough. Press a deep indent into the centre of each ball; fill with the plum jam. Bake biscuits for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
5.Dust with sifted icing sugar, if desired.
