Welcome back to Term 3!
We hope everyone enjoyed a restful winter break and found time to recharge with family and friends. As we move into Semester 2, there’s a fresh sense of energy and purpose in the air, the students have returned with enthusiasm full of stories of their breaks. This is a time for new beginnings, a chance to reset, refocus, and embrace the rich learning opportunities that lie ahead.
Across our classrooms, our teachers are already setting the foundation for a fabulous term. Our focus remains on delivering high-quality teaching and learning that supports every student to grow, achieve, and flourish.
This week also marks a significant moment of transition at Holy Trinity, as we prepare to farewell Mrs Brearley on Friday. Her leadership and care have shaped our school community in many ways, and we thank her sincerely for all she has contributed. While goodbyes can bring mixed emotions, they also open the door to new opportunities, a new beginning for us all. The assembly for Mrs Brearley is tomorrow at 2:00pm.
We’re looking forward to a vibrant and productive semester together.
Prue
We're excited to announce that Interests and Pursuits continues this term, bringing our PERMAH wellbeing framework to life by providing our learners with opportunities to explore their passions, build friendships across year levels, and experience the joy of learning something new.
When: Fridays 12:40-1:40pm, Weeks 2-9 of Term 3
Your child's teacher will be working with them this Friday or next Monday to select their preferences from our amazing range of 19 activities. Students will choose their top 3 options, and we'll do our best to place them in one of these choices.
How You Can Help
We encourage you to chat with your child about their interests and what activities might excite them most. Remember, this program is about supporting your child to pursue their own passions - they may surprise you with their choices! Please note that while we aim to accommodate preferences, first choices aren't always guaranteed.

Unpacking our ELC Philosophy - Community Input
Our team at Holy Trinity ELC is currently reviewing our ELC philosophy – the foundation that guides our decision-making, shapes our practices and influences the everyday experiences of our children.
A critical part of this process is hearing from you. As families in our community, your insights and values are essential in helping us reflect on what matters most in our early learning environment.
We’ve created a short survey to capture your thoughts. It may require some deep thinking – and that’s exactly what we’re hoping for. So we invite you to make a cup of tea, sit together and take a few moments to reflect before responding.
Your voices will help ensure that our updated philosophy continues to reflect a shared vision – one that honours your children, your family and our wider community.
Here is our current ELC Philosophy...
Hats, Hats, Hats
Our SunSmart policy states that all children and staff are required to wear hats when outside from August to May each year. As we approach the start of August, please ensure your child has a clearly labelled hat each day and support them in applying sunscreen when they arrive in the morning.

Community Council News
As some of our community may be aware, the Community Council runs a Food Bank of ready-to-go meals to support families within our school community. Whether it’s a busy week or just needing a little extra help, having a meal ready to go can lend a real helping hand.
We’re inviting families to donate home-cooked or store-bought meals that are:
- Clearly labelled with ingredients
- Include a date prepared or best-before date
- Packaged in freezer-safe containers, if possible
Some ideas include:
- Pasta bakes or lasagne
- Soups and stews
- Curries and rice dishes
- Casseroles
- Muffins or slices for lunchboxes
Donations can be dropped off at the school office. If your family would like to contribute, please don’t hesitate to reach out. All support is offered with kindness and confidentiality.
Thank you for helping us care for one another.
