Dear families and carers,
Yesterday, we celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration, a moment in the Gospels when Jesus, standing on a mountain with Peter, James, and John, is transfigured before them. His face shines like the sun, and his clothes become dazzling white, revealing His divine nature and affirming His role as the Son of God.
For us today, this powerful event is a reminder of the importance of faith, hope, love and the possibility of transformation in our own lives. Just as Jesus was revealed in glory, we are called to recognise the light of Christ within ourselves and others, especially in the ordinary moments of life.
The Transfiguration also reminds us that change and growth often come from moments of stillness, reflection, and connection with God. In the midst of our busy lives, it is in those quiet "mountain-top" moments, through prayer, acts of kindness, or deep listening that we are invited to encounter something greater.
As a school community, we celebrated our feast day with a spirit of joy and unity. Coming together with Sts Peter and Paul’s for buddy activities, Mass and a shared lunch. May this celebration inspire us all to be open to the light of Christ and to reflect that light in our words, actions, and relationships each day.
A message from Mrs Brearley
To all the Holy Trinity parents and carers, thank you so much firstly for the great trust you gave me, hopefully knowing that everything I did, and every decision made always had your children at the centre. Thank you for your constant support, honesty and care. I would especially like to thank those who worked tirelessly perhaps on the P and F, The school Board, the now Community Council or many other volunteer roles, whether seen or unseen, thank you. Thank you also so so much for the incredibly thoughtful and special gifts you presented me at my recent farewell assembly. Thank you for the commissioned stained-glass cross created by a local artist, the Holy Trinity wine, the Monstera plant, all so beautiful!! However, the most touching and precious gift was the published booklet from families- I have not been able to read through the whole book yet as I keep crying each time I read some of it!! This is definitely something I will treasure always. To say goodbye to the most incredible community of people that I have had the privilege of sharing my life with for the last 8 and a half years has been hard and honestly thank you does not seem enough. Please know that being the Principal of Holy Trinity has given me utter joy and fulfilment, and I will never forget the significant positive impact you and your beautiful families have all had on my life, thank you.
Hats
Hats are back in August, as the UV rating increases we need all students to be wearing their hats during break times and sport lessons. Please check your child's hat has a clearly marked name so it can be returned to the appropriate class if it is miss placed.
Together in faith and learning,
Prue
Feast of Transfiguration
The Feast of the Transfiguration was celebrated yesterday, Wednesday 6 August. This year also marks the 31st anniversary of our parish - a wonderful milestone in our community’s journey.
To mark the occasion, Holy Trinity was delighted to welcome students from Sts Peter & Paul’s for a joyful day of celebration. The day was filled with meaningful connections as buddy classes came together, a beautiful Mass celebrated by Fr James, and a delicious lunch enjoyed by both staff and students.
Our amazing team of parent helpers made today’s sausage sizzle lunch possible for all 727 students - no small feat! We are so grateful to Rochelle, Tasso, Luke and Simon for your time, energy and teamwork. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!
A heartfelt thank you to the staff and students of Sts Peter & Paul for joining us and contributing to such a memorable day. We look forward to returning the visit and celebrating together again next year!

Catholic Inquiry Program – An Invitation…
Sometimes people wonder about what Catholics believe and how they live their faith. Sometimes they feel shy about asking these questions. At Holy Trinity Church we are starting an inquiry group for people who are not Catholic but who are searching for answers. This inquiry group will start on Tuesday 19th August 7:30pm in the Parish Centre and will go for 4 weeks. This opportunity may be for you, or someone you know, and may pave the way to the Rite of Christian Initiation Adults (RCIA) program. For further information, please contact Peter at the Parish Office 0459 394 813.

Help Us Build Our Loose Parts Collection!
Our outdoor learning environment is guided by values that recognise children as capable, challenged, joyful, connected, imaginative, problem solvers and agentic. To support this, we are building our collection of loose parts (open-ended materials that inspire creativity, collaboration and exploration). We’re putting the call out to any tradespeople in our community who may be able to help. We’re especially looking for clean PVC pipes, lengths of timber and plastic garden pots. If you have any of these items (or similar) to spare, we’d love to hear from you!
Hats, Hats, Hats
Our SunSmart policy states that all children and staff are required to wear hats when outside from August to May each year. Please ensure your child has a clearly labelled hat each day and support them in applying sunscreen when they arrive in the morning.

Community Council News
As some of our community may be aware, the Community Council runs a Food Bank of ready-to-go meals to support families within our school community. Whether it’s a busy week or just needing a little extra help, having a meal ready to go can lend a real helping hand.
We’re inviting families to donate home-cooked or store-bought meals that are:
- Clearly labelled with ingredients
- Include a date prepared or best-before date
- Packaged in freezer-safe containers, if possible
Some ideas include:
- Pasta bakes or lasagne
- Soups and stews
- Curries and rice dishes
- Casseroles
- Muffins or slices for lunchboxes
Donations can be dropped off at the school office. If your family would like to contribute, please don’t hesitate to reach out. All support is offered with kindness and confidentiality.
Thank you for helping us care for one another.
Sports News
On Tuesday, a number of students proudly represented Holy Trinity at the Oztag Gala Day. It was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of action on the field.
Throughout the day, students showed great resilience and determination, learning from each game and growing in confidence and skill. It was wonderful to see them encouraging one another, adapting to challenges, and improving as a team with every match.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the parents and carers who came along to support on the day.
