Dear families and carers,
Another great week of teaching and learning at Holy Trinity. The highight of this week has been the success of tennis at Holy Trinity. On Saturday evening, Holy Trinity was honoured to be named the ACT Most Outstanding School for the second year in a row at the Tennis ACT Awards.
This recognition celebrates the strong culture of tennis at Holy Trinity, where students enthusiastically take to the courts every recess and lunch to play, practice, and share their love of the game. Tennis has become an important part of our school life, building teamwork, sportsmanship, and a sense of community.
We are proud of our students’ ongoing engagement and achievements in tennis, and we are excited to continue this journey as we prepare to participate in the Todd Woodbridge Cup and Wally Masur Cup in September.

Below are photos of Best Dressed for Book Week 2025 from the ELC, to Kinder and Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 and finally Year 5 and 6. You might see that some teachers send two or three kids around as the decision is so hard to make. Congratulations to all winners.

Last Friday we concluded our Book Week Celebrations for 2025 with our very first ‘HT Fairy House’ building competition.
The fairy houses were incredible; we had 26 in total and every one of them was built with love and care. We had treehouses, mushrooms, sparkles, fairy lights, bark, false teeth, Lego, stairs, doorbells, fake grass, and tiny fairies galore. Thank you to the beautiful children and eager parents who embraced the challenge.
We decided to have a raffle to keep it fair to all. 12 winners were each given a $10 voucher from the Term 4 Scholastic Book Catalogue.
It was lovely to see the children who didn’t win a prize in the raffle, smile and say well done to their friends– God Bless thoughtful kids. It was big fun.

Congratulations also to Fredrick and Isabella W who decided to complete the CBCA Adventure around Canberra in the winter school holidays. Fredrick and Isabella (and their parents) visited many iconic sites taking photos and answering questions as they went. Their entry form has been sent to CBCA. They also received a Scholastic voucher each for their efforts.
Finally, a few more photos from Book Week 2025.

Theo: I loved the staff play and all the fun we had at lunch and recess in our costumes.
Maddi R: I loved the parade and walking around the middle.
Murray: The staff play and what happened trying to catch Goldilocks.
Angelo: Coming to the hall and looking at the winning books.
Gemma: I loved organising my outfit.
Sophie H: I loved organising my outfit and the production on Monday with Sophie and George.
Finally, please remember that Book Week is all about celebrating beautiful books, the importance of reading and the adventure that reading can give.
That’s a wrap – Book Week 2025 is done, thank you all.

The Great Book Swap, in support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
We ask all students to donate a book from their home library for The Great Book Swap. From today, students can bring in their book to donate!
On Wednesday 3 September 2025 we invite students to bring a gold coin (or note!) to school to spend at the Book Swap. Everyone will walk away with a ‘new’ book to read.
The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, learn more about Indigenous Languages and culture, while raising funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
This event provides an opportunity to discuss with your children the literacy (and education gap) that exists for first nation Australians and why programs such as the Indigenous Literacy Foundation are essential.
