In Term 1 of each year we hold a Parent Information night for families to familiarise themselves with their child’s new learning space and teachers. Parent Partnership meetings are held where parents share important information about their child, including their hopes and dreams. Parent /Student/ Teacher Conferences (3-6) and Parent-Teacher interviews (K-2) also provide an opportunity for teachers and parents to discuss the student’s progress in Term 2.
In Term 3 a Learning Journeys evening is held; an open classroom where parents can see first-hand what their children are learning.
Our school provides news via alerts on an App, and a weekly electronic newsletter which can be printed. To stay connected with the school regular messages are sent through our App and parent are also contacted regularly through other forms of communication set up by each teacher.
The Holy Trinity Parents and Friends Committee has a long history of achievement. The main role of the P&F is to provide parents an opportunity to help shape the school community through organising special school events to encourage family involvement. This includes a family welcome barbecue in Term 1, a family Movie Night under the stars, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift stalls and breakfasts, the school disco, the Parent Revue, Walkathon and a biennial Fete. The P&F also contribute to local and overseas charities. At the start of the year the P&F publishes a School Directory, with invaluable contact details of parents and school community leaders, as well as tips on how to contribute to the community.
The P&F also runs two important business operations – the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop. Both of these businesses support families and also raise significant funds to contribute to facilities at the school.
Over the past decade, the P&F - through generous contributions and fundraising by parents, students and sponsors - has provided over $490,000 for projects.
Major projects in recent years have included:
Meeting twice per term, the P&F welcomes parents to contribute their ideas, know-how and talents to make the school community a thriving, caring, nurturing place for our children.
